Club Dinner: Andrew Simpson—An Evening of Music and Film

Mr. Simpson, composer, pianist and organist, will present and accompany short films including novelties such as special-effect films in which early film makers were brilliant. Along with his improvised accompaniment, he will discuss what it takes to accompany silent and special-effect films. Simpson is Professor of Music and Head of the Theory-Composition Division of the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at Catholic University. He is also the Resident Film Accompanist at the National Gallery of Art and the regularly featured accompanist at the Library of Congress. Please reserve by Wednesday, March 25.
