On April 26th the Evenings with Extraordinary Artists Series will feature Andrew Earle Simpson in an evening of music and film. Simpson, acclaimed composer, pianist, organist and composer, will present and accompany short films including novelties such as special-effect films.

A composer of opera, silent film, theatrical, orchestral, vocal and choral music, he describes silent film as a nexus of drama, visual art and music and an ideal genre for his multidisciplinary explorations.

Doors open at 6:30 and the program will begin at 7 pm. A reception featuring wine and hors d’oeuvres will take place before and after the performance. Admission is $15 for members and $25 for all others. RSVP at (202) 331-7282 ext. 3 or email
