“A Creative Century:  The Beginnings” is an exhibition designed to celebrate the Arts Club’s history as it begins its centennial year.  The sub title “The Beginnings” refers to both the exhibition’s focus on the early history of the Club and to the hope that this exhibition will stimulate interest in viewers to delve further into the many extraordinary aspects of the Club’s history in all of the arts.  In addition to displaying archival photographs and other Club memorabilia as part of the exhibition, at least one hundred paintings, drawings, and prints from the Club’s permanent collection will be on display, with a particular emphasis on works by early members of the Club.

Patricia Moore is the curator of the exhibition and Robert Sacheli created the exhibition’s design, both Club members.  Nichola Hays, Gallery Manager for the Arts Club, and Audrey Zhuoer Liu, curatorial research intern, assisted in many aspects of the exhibition.
