Sculpture in the Garden Call for Entries
August 31, 2020
Open to all active, living artists.
Three-dimensional works in all styles and techniques are acceptable. Works must be made of materials that can withstand outdoor weather and not require any maintenance. Sculptures are chosen using a juried selection process and are final. The artist must bring the sculpture that was selected, no substitutions.
Because this is a new program at the Arts Club of Washington, outdoor exhibition time is currently more flexible than we anticipate for the future. Artists are encouraged to submit suggestions about length of availability for work to be displayed outside, with a five week minimum.
Artist Submission Requirements
- Artists may submit up to 3 pieces.
- A resume or professional bio. Please include an email address, phone number, and address on the bio.
- 3 high-resolution images of each sculpture from several angles.
- An image list that includes the title, medium, price, height, and approximate weight of the sculpture(s).
At this time we are asking artists to submit their applications via email. All information must be submitted at the same time. Incomplete entries will not be considered.
Selected artists will be responsible for delivering, installing and removing his/her work of art, working closely with the Arts Club of Washington. The Arts Club will not provide physical labor or equipment such as cranes, boom trucks or generators. All works must be delivered through the back Garden doors. Any pieces larger than the door must be professionally moved over the East wall. Insurance for transport is the obligation of the artist.
All work must be for sale. The club commission is 30% for non-members and 25% for arts club members.
